About radKids

Aside from educational tools and resources, radKids gives children, parents, and families skills, knowledge, and power to protect themselves. Their educational program is endorsed by the National Sheriff’s Association and they are recognized as a national leader in safety education. They teach violence prevention to children in many areas including abduction, bullying, prevention, sexual assault, and child abuse.

The program is designed to change children’s thinking and behavior to use safer alternatives that replace fear and confusion with confidence and personal boundaries. The mindset after children complete the program is, “How dare you hurt me!” instead of “Help Me, Help Me”.

Child Safety

Teaching children to protect and prevent violence during or before acts of violence is the best way to help your child stay safe. Knowing what to do when they encounter volatile situations will not only help your child keep themselves safe, but they’ll have higher self-esteem, and confidence.

No matter where you live, or what age your child is, dangers lurk in every corner and crevice of the world. The mindset of it won’t happen to us is a thing of the past. Each and every victim, as well as their families,  will tell you they once had that same belief. As parents, your job is to protect your child and part of that is teaching them to protect themselves.

Grace Wells

Grace Wells grew up in the kind of town where no one locked their doors and parents felt safe letting their kids wander. Things have changed a lot since then. As a mother today, Grace has to worry about so much more than skinned knees and hurt feelings.

Grace believes the best way to keep kids safe is to stay informed. She hopes that her work at Kids Safety 101 makes a difference in children’s lives so that they can grow up as carefree as she did.
